1. Order
Where can I order my books?
You can order your books at our website: www.ebfbooksale.nl. If you are a member of the EBF, you can log in by filling in your student number and password. After this, you can filter books by choosing your study. Please note that you are responsible for ordering the right books. You can check which books you need for your studies at the Ocasys website (www.rug.nl/ocasys). After filtering, you can order the books you need. You will receive a confirmation of your order by e-mail.
When can I order my books?
You can order your books at the beginning of each half-semester. The deadline for ordering books is about three to four weeks before the beginning of the half-semester. You can check our website to see when the current deadlines are.
How do I know which books I need to order?
You can check the Ocasys website (www.rug.nl/ocasys) to see which books you need. You can filter books at www.ebfbooksale.nl by choosing your study. You are responsible for ordering the right books, so always check Ocasys for the books you need. Furthermore, it may also be that you already bought a book for a course you followed earlier.
How do I know for sure that I ordered my books?
After ordering the books, you will receive a confirmation of the order by e-mail. After receiving the e-mail, you will know for sure that you ordered the books. By logging in at our website you can check which e-mail address is known to us. The confirmation e-mail will be sent to that e-mail address.
Do you want to change your e-mail address? Then go to your personal information and change your e-mail address. If you are still not sure of your order, you can always e-mail to booksale@ebfgroningen.nl.
What do I have to do if I want to order a book which is not in the list?
You can search for books by titel, ISBN and author. If the book will not appear after filtering, than it may be that the book is already sold out. If that is the case, you can send an e-mail to booksale@ebfgroningen.nl. If the book will stay out of stock, you can visit the rest-sale. The rest-sale will always take place at the second day of the Book ale from 15.00h till 16.00h. You have to be a member of the EBF to order books at the rest-sale.
What do I have to do if I did not receive a confirmation e-mail after ordering?
If you did not receive a confirmation e-mail after ordering, you have to check which e-mail address is known in our administration. You can check this by logging in at our website and to check your personal information. You can change your e-mail address after logging in. If the problem is still not solved after this, than send an e-mail to booksale@ebfgroningen.nl.
2. Book Sale-days
Can someone else pick up my books at the Book Sale if I cannot pick them up?
It is no problem if someone else will pick up your books. Someone else can pick up your books if he/she will take your confirmation e-mail.
How can I pay on the booksale days?
You can pay in cash or with an ATM card.
3. Log-in
I am trying to log in on the website, but it does not work, what do I have to do?
It is possible that your student number is not familiar in our administration. So you can try to fill in your e-mail address instead of your student number. You can also to press the ‘password forgotten’ button and after that you will receive an e-mail with a new password. If the problem is still not solved after trying these two attempts, you can send an e-mail to info@ebfgroningen.nl
What do I have to do if I do not have a login account?
You have to be a member of the EBF to log in on our website. You can become a member of the EBF by going to (link naar aanmelden). You can receive several discounts with the EBF Membership, you can order books with a discount, participate in several activities and get discounts at several companies with your EBF Membership Value Card.
