How do I order my books for semester 1.1?

By becoming a member of the EBF society trough the website. Trough the process of applying, you are asked if you are a fresman and if you would like to order your books from the EBF. If you do so, we’ll order a complete set of books for your first block.

Where/when do I collect my ordered books?

This is a planned activity at your second introduction day at the faculty (4th of September). With your introduction group you will be given the opportunity to visit our booksale. We are at the exam-halls (Alletta Jacobshal), your group leader knows to find us!

How/where/when do I pay for my books?

You need to pay for you books at the booksale when you picking them up. If possible please pay with PIN-card, though it is possible to pay with cash.

How do I cancel (a part of) my order?

Cancelling is not necessary. Just mention you don’t need all of the books you ordered (you don’t need to pay anything for the books you don’t need anymore). If you don’t need any books at all, you can just not show up at the booksale. No money will be charged at any time if you don’t need your books anymore.

Which books do I need?

If you answered that you wanted to order books at EBF, we’ll automatically order all books you need for your first block according to your study. To find out which books we'll order, visit our First-Year Booksale page!

How do I know if my order is placed?

Upon ordering books, we will send you a confirmation by e-mail. If you became member of the EBF and checked ‘I want to order my books at EBF’, then we’ve ordered your books. You’ll don’t get a separate confirmation of ordering and becoming a member.

I didn’t receive a confirmation, are my books still ordered?

Please mail us booksale@ebfgroningen.nl.

Do I need to bring my confirmation mail?

No, your student number or full name is enough.

I can’t come to the Booksale days, can I collect my books later?

No, it is only possible to collect your books on the booksale days. It is however possible to ask a friend to collect your books. He or she just need to know your full name or student number.

What’s my username?

The email adress you gave when you signed up as EBF-member.

I forgot my password, how do I retrieve it?

By clicking ‘Password forgotten’. You’ll be asked to fill in your username and you will receive a mail with a new password.

 

Ordering

I’m not a member of the EBF, can I still order books from the EBF Webshop?

No, it’s required to be a member of the EBF in order to be able to enter our web shop.

Where do I order my books?

Trough the EBF Webshop (www.ebfbooksale.nl).

When am I able to order my books?

From the start of the new block till the deadline (mostly three weeks to the end of the block).

How do I cancel (a part of) my order?

Which books do I need for my study?

The information provided by the university regarding courses can be found at www.rug.nl/ocasys. At the web shop we’ll give a suggestion based on your program.

What if I want other books then the web shop suggests I need?

You can look up any book we have in stock at the left side of the web shop.

I can’t find my books, what should I do?

If you can’t find your books, it could be that the books are sold out. Please mail us about this problem and tell us for which course you need the book. We will try to order the books.

How do I know if my order is placed?

Booksale days

Where/when can I pick up my ordered books?

Basically at the first two days of the block during the booksale days. The booksale is always at the first floor of the Duisenberg building ( Above the plaza )

How can I pay for my books?

If possible please use a PIN card. It is however possible to pay cash if you like. We’ve recently introduced the possibility for our members to pay by iDeal at the web shop.

I want to return some books, until when is this possible?

Upon 5 workdays after the booksale it is possible to return books. Please mail us at info@ebfgroningen.nl for more information.
