EBF Strategy

Mission

The Economic and Business student Faculty association makes studying special for its members by making it more relevant, fun and easier. A good balance between professionalism and fun are the central values.

Vision

Besides the opportunities presented by the Faculty of Economics and Business the EBF contributes to the development of students. The EBF excels in organizing highly qualitative faculty-wide activities available for all the student of the faculty of economics and business, facilitating activities for specific target groups, and informing its members.

The EBF organizes highly qualitative faculty-wide activities available for all of her members. These activities are organized in an efficient manner and in cooperation with the faculty of economics and business. The activities are organized for both international and Dutch students.

The EBF offers its members scientific immersion and complementary expansion. In addition, the EBF takes care of the professional sale of books and summaries for her members. Also, the EBF prepares its members for a career and brings them in contact with the business world and the government. Furthermore, the EBF stimulates the mutual contact between its members.

Moreover, the EBF supports its sub-associations and activities that serve specific groups of students optimally. The EBF also informs its members about several possibilities in the area of entrepreneurship, the non-profit sector, a scientific career and (international) internships.

Strategy 2015

Strategy 2015 is a framework to give direction to the continuous development of the EBF for the upcoming years. However, this framework will be adapted every year by means of new insights. The realization of this plan is a long term project that will cover several (EBF Board) years. To successfully finish strategy 2015, it is essential to work from a coherent strategy for several years.

Strategy 2015 aims to organize the association in a way that will offer students optimal support and maximal value of membership of the EBF. In order to create optimal support and maximal membership value the four areas are important:

Study: opportunities to make studying easier and offering academic insights.
Career: getting in contact with companies and preparing students for their future career
International: Gaining international experience
Relax: stimulating mutual contact between members

The Strategy of 2015 of the EBF will be achieved by the following long term goals:

·         Strengthen the organization on the field of human resource management, efficiency and internal processes.

·         Improve the communication towards the faculty and enlarge the cooperation with the faculty

·         Respond to environmental changes in the field of digitalization

·         Establishing a more instant role in the career support of the members

·         Offering a balance between international, faculty-wide and specific activities

·         Enlarge and improve the offering of study-supporting activities

·         Enlarge the membership value for (active) members

·         Improve the international character of the EBF

Focus points

EBF Community

The EBF Board strives to optimise the cooperation and involvement of a diverse parties.  The goal is to let the EBF be the centre of a strong community including students, faculty and external parties. Clear communication and staying in close touch are central values.

The EBF Board strives to achieve:

• Establish optimal membership value for students

• Create  mutual involvement with the faculty of economics and business at large

Internationalisation

The EBF Board strives to make the EBF a more accessible association for all of ther members on the fields of study, career, international and relaxing. The University will increase to work on an international studyenviroment for international students. The EBF plays an important role in creating an accessible environment for all students. Also, the EBF Board strives optimise the integration between all students.

• Facilitate the accessiblity of the association for all members

Operational Efficiency

The EBF Board strives to make the association more efficient by structuring and documenting. Furthermore, the renewed administrative systems must be optimised during the implementation. The goal is to establish optimal use of these systems.

The EBF Board strives to achieve:

• Restructre and improve internal processes with the association

Outsourcing, human resource management

• Taking care of optimal administrative systems and using the systems efficient.

Projects

Lustrum

On the first of August the EBF celebrates the fifth Dies Natalis. The EBF Lustrum is a moment to look back onto the the last five couple of years and celebrate the achieved results from this period. During the Lustrum the EBF Board strives to organise multiple events which are interesting and accesible for all the parties involved in the association.

Therefore the EBF Board strives to achieve:

-       To organise a Lustrum in September 2012 which is open for all stakeholders of the EBF and what creates a positive position for the EBF.

Digitalisation

The current environment of the EBF offers an increased need for digital accesibility. Also, digital accesibility is more and more associatated as a standard in an organisation. The EBF strives to make the association more present in the digital world and grow and follow the trends around digitalisation.

Therefore the EBF Board strives to achieve:

-       To explore the possibilities to increase digital accessibility before the 1^st of September 2012.

Membership Value Cards

The EBF offers her members distinctive discounts associated with EBF Membership. Members can get these discounts by using their EBF Membership Value Card. In order to provide cards to all of our members the system needs to be optimalised.

Therefore the EBF Board strives to achieve:

- To improve the Membership Value Card system before the 1^st of March 2012.

- Provide maxium Membership Value via the Membership Value Cards before the 1^st of September 2012.
