Mission

The Economics and Business student Faculty association makes studying special for its members by making it more relevant, fun and easier. A good balance between professionalism and fun are the central values.
 

Vision

Besides the opportunities presented by the Faculty of Economics and Business the EBF contributes to the development of students. The EBF excels in organizing highly qualitative faculty-wide activities available for all the student of the faculty of economics and business, facilitating activities for specific target groups, and informing its members.
 
The EBF organizes highly qualitative faculty-wide activities available for all of her members. These activities are organized in an efficient manner and in cooperation with the faculty of economics and business. The activities are organized for both international and Dutch students.
 
The EBF offers its members scientific immersion and complementary expansion. In addition, the EBF takes care of the professional sale of books and summaries for her members. Also, the EBF prepares its members for a career and brings them in contact with the business world and the government. Furthermore, the EBF stimulates the mutual contact between its members.
 
Moreover, the EBF supports its sub-associations and activities that serve specific groups of students optimally. The EBF also informs its members about several possibilities in the area of entrepreneurship, the non-profit sector, a scientific career and (international) internships.
 

Strategy 2015

Strategy 2015 is a framework to give direction to the continuous development of the EBF for the upcoming years. However, this framework will be adapted every year by means of new insights. The realization of this plan is a long term project that will cover several (EBF Board) years. To successfully finish strategy 2015, it is essential to work from a coherent strategy for several years.
 
Strategy 2015 aims to organize the association in a way that will offer students optimal support and maximal value of membership of the EBF. In order to create optimal support and maximal membership value the four areas are important:
 
Study: opportunities to make studying easier and offering academic insights.
 
Career: getting in contact with companies and preparing students for their future career.
 
International: Gaining international experience.
 
Recreation: stimulating mutual contact between members.
 
The Strategy of 2015 of the EBF will be achieved by the following long term goals:
 
  • Strengthen the organization on the field of human resource management, efficiency and internal processes.
 
  • Improve the communication towards the faculty and enlarge the cooperation with the faculty.
 
  • Respond to environmental changes in the field of digitalization.
 
  • Establishing a more instant role in the career support of the members.
 
  • Offering a balance between international, faculty-wide and specific activities.
 
  • Enlarge and improve the offering of study-supporting activities.
 
  • Enlarge the membership value for (active) members.
 
  • Improve the international character of the EBF.

Positioning
 

The EBF Board strives to position the EBF as a professional and sociable study association. To serve the target group in an optimal way, the EBF Board aims to strengthen the EBF Activity Portfolio and strives to increase the visibility of and positive association with the EBF.

Study Support
 

The EBF Board strives to support the student in making studying easier. With regard to current educational developments and increased study pressure, the EBF Board strives to increase the support for EBF Members in the field of study. Aligning EBF Activities with the faculty is important both in content of the activity and in planning.
 
Therefore the EBF Board strives to:
 
  • Increase the support for EBF Members in the field of study;

EBF Network
 

The EBF Board believes that having a strong network is essential for the communication and sharing of information between the EBF and her environment. A strong network can be beneficial for the EBF and her activities. Therefore, the EBF Board strives to strengthen the EBF Network. The EBF Network can be specified into an internal network including all EBF Members and an external network including all other stakeholders of the EBF. 
 
Therefore the EBF Board strives to:
 
  • Strengthen the internal network: increase mutual involvement between EBF Members;

    Committees, Mastercommunities
     
  • Strengthen the external network: improve communication with other stakeholders.

Projects

Activity Portfolio
 

After five years it is appropriate to revise the EBF Activities. The EBF Board strives to organise its activities in an optimal way and to possibly bridge gaps in the activity portfolio. Possibilities are to focus on first year students, entrepreneurship, small business or study supporting activities.
 
Therefore, the EBF Board aims to:
 
  • Set up new activities which broaden the activity portfolio of the EBF before 1 September 2013. 
 

Personal Development
 

The EBF Board strives to increase membership value by offering opportunities for personal development. The EBF Board aims to stimulate EBF Members to develop themselves further in their personal competences and skills, which are useful for EBF Members’ future careers and for EBF Committee work.  
 
Therefore, the EBF Board aims to:
 
  • Investigate new possibilities to facilitate personal development of EBF Members before 1 September 2013.
 

Information Systems
 

The EBF Board strives to improve the usability of information systems within the EBF and to improve the information communicated to EBF Members. Furthermore, possibilities for new information systems will be investigated to increase efficiency. 
 
Therefore the EBF Board aims to:
 
  • Improve the means of communicating information on the EBF Website and by social media before 1 September 2013;
 
  • Investigate the possibilities to set up systems that improve the efficiency of organising activities before 1 September 2013.
