Selection Procedure
All bachelor students of the FEB who have obtained the propadeutical certificate and 30 ECTS (90 ECTS in total), pre-master and master students can apply.
The selection process will consist of two rounds. In the first round, you will send us a motivation letter and your resume. The deadline for this is February 24th 12.00 hrs.
In the motivation letter, the aspects under the heading ‘Application’ have to be included. Based on your letter and resume, you will be contacted about whether you will continue to the next round. The second round will consist of a case assignment and an interview during which you will be asked to elaborate on your letter, resume, motivation and the case you have made.
The interviews will take place in week 10 from the 5th till 9th of March and in week 11 on March 12 and 13.
Application
You have to hand in:
- An application letter in which you explain why you apply for IBR, why you would be the right person and indicate which two functions have your preference. This should be in English. (Hand this in double)
- Your resume (hand this in double).

Appendix with:
- Permission for a printout of your study results of the Office of Teaching and Examinations (in Dutch: BOE). You have to hand in a separate sheet of paper with the text: “Hereby I give permission to a request for a printout of my study results”, the date, your name and student number and your signature.
- The dates and times during the application phase on which you are NOTavailable for interviews etc.
- Your planning for the coming year (e.g. holidays, study, semester abroad, internships). Please indicate your field of study here too.
Costs and time
The expenses for the participating students and the Executive Board members is €1100,- in total. This consists of a contribution of €650,- and a working capital of €450,-. This split means that if the maximum number of researches is obtained, the working capital of €450,- will be repaid to the students and the Executive Board. This deposit consists of the costs for the ticket, the accommodation and the daily expenses for the first 5 weeks of the trip. Furthermore, you have to take into account that during the year some expenses will be made, because there will be several activities with the group, such as weekly drinks and other activities.
The project will be part-time from April till the summer holidays, and in September you will be working on the project full time.
Finally, it is important that you are not absent for more than two continuous weeks during the whole preparation phase (November 2012 – August 2012). And in total, not more than three weeks of absence (excluding the Christmas holidays) in the period from September 2012 to April 2013.
