Prospect Magazine

Description

With a circulation of over 7000 copies, Prospect is one of the biggest student magazines in the Netherlands. The magazine is published by the Economic and Business Faculty student association of the RuG, and every edition is send to students, alumni of our facult and companies that the EBF has contact with. Because of the different groups which read the Prospect, the Prospect has the ability to attract the attention of important key figures in companies, politics and scientific research.

The Prospect has 4 editions each year. In the Prospect you are involved in the entire process, from doing the interview to writing the articles, from text editing to putting the lay-out together. For each edition of the Prospect you will have approximately a month to write articles. As the deadline approaches you will be busy with either making the la-out of the magazine or checking the articles in the whole magazine on content.

Functions

An overview of the functions and specific responsibilities for each committee member is presented below:
Chairman
- Is responsible for supporting editors,
- Is responsible for supporting lay-out,
- Has the overview of the deadlines.
- Is responsible for delivering the final version of the Prospect

Author/lay-out 3x
 -Is responsible for writing articles,
- Is responsible for the overall design of the magazine,
- This function is very intensive before the deadline (this is never in the examperiod, normally before).

Author/Editor 4x
- is responsible for writing articles
- is responsible for the quality of the text in the article.

Workload

The workload for  this committee is around 5 hours a week.

When

The committee is selected on a half-yearly basis and continues the whole year.
