EBF-JOVD Leadership Panel with Gerrit Zalm The EBF organizes a Leadership Panel about two times a year. During this event a well-known speaker from the world of business or politics will give a lecture for a large group of students. The next Leadership Panel will be organised in association with the JOVD Groningen and will be held on Tuesday, September 21. The guest speaker will be the former minister of finance and board member of the ABN-Amro, Gerrit Zalm. He will give a lecture about the current crisis and how ABN-Amro deals with the fusion with Fortis. Gerrit Zalm (born 6 May 1952) is a former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the Netherlands. He was the longest serving Minister of Finance in the history of the Netherlands and has been responsible for numerous reforms of the Dutch economy. On 21 November it was announced by Prime Minister Balkenende that Zalm will be the new CEO of the bank resulting from the merger of ABN and Fortis Netherlands, two recently nationalized banks.
After the Leadership Panel of Gerrit Zalm the Dutch Budget Propsal debate will kick-off with a jury consisting out of:

The discussion panel will be led by Janka Stoker, vice president of the Faculty of Economics and Business Groningen. The EBF warmly invites everyone to attend this Leadership Panel and Budget Proposal debat at 6.30 pm in Martinikerk. The doors will be open at 6.00 pm. Please be on time. First come first served.
