History
In 1988, the Study Association of the Faculty of Management & Organization of the University of Groningen, BIG, was the first study association in the Netherlands to organize a study project which focused on a non-European emerging market. The project was called International Study Project, ISP. Additionally, the Study Association of the faculty of Economics of the University of Groningen, EFV, started to organize a similar project. This project was called the Foundation International Study Projects, SIS.
Due to the merger of the Faculty of Management & Organization and Economics into the new Faculty of Economics and Business in 2008, the former Study Associations of both faculties also fused into the Economics and Business Faculty Association, EBF. As a result, ISP and SIS were combined into a new project, called International Business Research (IBR).
