We zien jullie aanmeldingen graag tegemoet!

DNB in-house event: Learn about our financial markets and financial stability divisions in one day!

This DNB in-house event on Wednesday, 28 November gives you a unique opportunity to get an inside look at how DNB operates in the Financial Markets (FM) and how it achieves its Financial Stability (FS) mandate.

During this in-house event you will gain a better understanding as to how two important divisions within DNB conduct their activities. FS safeguards the stability of the Dutch financial system through analysis and implementation of macro prudential instruments. FM conducts ECB’s monetary policy operations and manages almost EUR 50 billion in investments. The division is also responsible for the risk management of DNB’s balance sheet and analysis of financial markets.

By participating in the in-house event, you will get the opportunity to meet FM and FS staff and gain a good insight into the atmosphere as well as culture in DNB. Furthermore, we will update you on potential internship and starter positions available in the near-term.

In the in-house event, you shall partake in a challenging and exciting stress testing case study. Since the financial crisis, stress tests have become part and parcel of the toolboxes of financial institutions and supervisory authorities. They have evolved into indispensable instruments for risk identification and are therefore used frequently. But how do you develop good stress scenarios? And what actions do you take if the stress test reveals that the financial sector is exposed to risks?

On Wednesday 28 November 2018, from 13.00 to 18.00, DNB will host a group of talented professionals in Westeinde 1, Amsterdam. The session will begin with a few short presentations covering the work in FM and FS divisions. After this, you will work on the case study. Once the official part of the programme ends, you will have the opportunity to meet DNB staff during a drink.

Who is the day meant for?

You are a master’s student or have recently obtained your master’s degree in economics, econometrics or finance, and you are interested in the financial sector.
